Step Deck OTR Driver | Not For Everyone

Kaiser Transport is hiring experienced step deck drivers—but this is not a standard flatbed job.

We run open-deck LTL freight with full load responsibility.

PAY

• $0.68–$0.73 CPM
• $1,500–$1,900+ weekly
• $80

K–$100

K+ annually

WHAT THIS JOB ACTUALLY IS

• 3–12 stops per trailer
• Freight is stacked, consolidated, and constantly changing
• You will re-secure loads multiple times
• You will tarp, untarp, and re-tarp depending on the freight
• You will work in all weather conditions

This is not “set it and forget it” freight.

HOW IT WORKS

• Outbound runs originate from WI and CA terminals
• Drivers return every 3–4 weeks to reload
• Long-haul lanes: I-80, I-70, I-40, I-5
• You manage deliveries and timing with customers
