This role is best suited for someone who already understands the trucking or motor carrier business and does not need to be trained from scratch on how driver hiring works.
Responsibilities
- Call and follow up with CDL driver applicants
- Explain the job, route structure, and requirements clearly
- Help applicants complete applications and submit missing items
- Follow up by phone and text to keep candidates moving
- Keep clean notes and update applicant status in a structured pipeline
- Identify serious applicants and reduce drop-off
- Escalate only ready and qualified candidates
Preferred Background
Strong preference for someone with experience in one or more of the following:
- Trucking recruiter
- Driver onboarding assistant
- Dispatcher
- Safety or compliance office support
- Trucking office administrator
- Former CDL driver with strong phone and paperwork skills
Required Qualifications
- U.S.-based preferred
- Strong spoken and written English
- Comfortable staying on the phone with applicants to get forms completed
- Organized and consistent with follow-up
- Able to document conversations clearly
- Familiar with trucking terminology and driver qualification basics
- Able to work independently without close supervision
Driver Position You Will Be Supporting
You will be helping process applicants for a CDL-A regional driver role based in Waco, Texas.
Driver requirements include:
- Valid CDL-A
- 2+ years dry van tractor-trailer experience
- Manual transmission endorsement required
- Clean MVR
- No SAP history
- Military base access required
Job details include:
- Regional routes
- Occasional runs up to 1,000 miles, mostly under 300 miles
- Doubles
- Touch freight and drop-and-hook
- Consumer goods and PX store deliveries to U.S. military bases
- No weapons or munitions
