CDL Recruiters: Place 6–24 Month Drivers Into High-Paying Team OTR
Have CDL drivers in your roster, group, or phone? Start the conversation.
ProHRHQ has active CDL-A team-driver openings available now. This opportunity is for CDL recruiters, driver-referral partners, small recruiting shops, former dispatch and safety people, and former CDL drivers who already have access to driver contacts.
The best fit is someone who has CDL-A drivers with 6 months to 2 years of experience who are hard to place into strong-paying jobs. If you have those drivers in your phone, roster, Facebook group, text list, referral network, or old applicant file, this may be a good assignment.
The real opportunity
Many CDL-A drivers with 6 to 24 months of experience run into the same problem: they are licensed, they have some OTR experience, they want better money — but many higher-paying carriers still want two full years. This assignment gives recruiters a place to send qualified early-experience CDL-A drivers who are willing to run team OTR.
Current driver opportunity:
- CDL-A team OTR
- Approximate driver earnings: $2,400–$2,800 per week
- 6 months to 2 years of verifiable OTR experience may be considered
- Drivers must be otherwise qualified and willing to run and stay busy
- Existing teams welcome; solo drivers open to team matching may be considered
- 48-state operation, parcel-network freight
- Drop-and-hook / no-touch freight
- No weapons or munitions
This is team work. For recruiters who do not like team freight, this may not be their lane. For recruiters who already know drivers willing to team, this can be a strong placement opportunity.
Why recruiters can win here
The placement logic is specific: many 6–24 month CDL-A drivers are under-placed and want higher weekly income, team OTR creates a path to stronger earnings, existing teams move faster, and the current placement need is large. A recruiter who already has early-experience drivers may be able to turn a stale list into current placements.
Who we want to talk to
- Independent CDL recruiters
- Small trucking recruiting shops
- Driver referral partners
- Former dispatchers with driver contacts
- Safety or compliance people with driver relationships
- Former CDL drivers with a real driver network
- Social media recruiters with trucking group reach
Best fit: you have CDL-A drivers with 6–24 months of experience who may be willing to team for strong weekly pay.
Recruiter pay
Performance pay per seated driver:
- About $600 per seated solo CDL-A driver
- About $1,000 per seated team
A recruiter who produces 4 to 10 seated placements during this hiring push could earn approximately $2,400 to $6,000. This is 1099 performance-based recruiting work; payment terms are handled in the written recruiting agreement.
This is commission-based independent contractor work. There is no hourly wage or guaranteed base salary; earnings depend on placements that seat and clear the replacement period.
This is an independent 1099 recruiting partnership, not W-2 employment. Traditional employee benefits — health insurance, paid time off, dental, vision, or 401(k) — are not offered.
