How to read it

Each circle is an inspection place: an inspection facility, a named area, or a street address in the record. Bigger means more matching inspections.

An inspection counts once, however many violations it had. Violations are counted separately. Violation types are FMCSA's own groups.

Roadside inspections are recorded events, not a count of truck traffic, and a recorded violation does not show what a carrier will buy.
